Florida Keys Boat Rental Turns Into Unauthorized Caribbean Getaway

A 63-year-old guy from Texas got arrested after he rented a fishing boat in the Florida Keys and decided “Why not Cuba?”

Of course, the marina owner was less than thrilled that this guy decided to skip the return policy and international laws all in one splash as his $300,000 vessel takes a tropical detour. It’s not clear why the renter decided to go to Cuba, but he has several drug convictions on his record.

The coast guard is now involved as they play a pretty expensive round of “hide and SEA” as the man and woman who was with him are now in custody in Cuba but the boat has yet to be found.
