Albany-Area Man Makes Chilling Confession During News Interview
When you think of someone confessing to a crime as serious as murder, you might think of “Law and Order”-style theatrics and the truth seemingly boiling to a head where the suspect just can’t take it anymore. This is absolutely not that and, for that reason, is almost more chilling.
Lorenz Kraus was arrested in the CBS6 Albany parking lot after confessing on live TV that he killed and buried his parents, Franz and Theresia, in their backyard back in 2017.
Kraus claimed it was a “mercy” act, spurred by a note from his mother about her declining health, but not before trying to be extremely vague with the reporter and trying to only refer to details in his statement.
Before the broadcast, Kraus mailed CBS6 a two-page letter with political rants, a selfie, and his phone number while demanding airtime and immunity. That immunity did not stick as police arrested him in the station’s parking lot, and he’s currently facing murder and concealment charges.
