Fake Police Cruisers Patrol St. Louis in a Real Grey Area

If you live in or visit St. Louis you may notice these fake-but-still-real police cruisers on patrol.

They are black SUV's with lights and even the word "Police" on the side, which would lead anyone to believe that they are, in fact, the real police.

Now, there are real police officers inside, but they are off-duty from "official" police work and are actually employed by "City's Finest" which ultimately seems like a private security company with a complex.

Apparently, them having "Police" displayed on their vehicles is perfectly fine because there are actual officers inside but the whole thing still seems a little sketchy to us...what do you think?
