Family Dog Finds Young Boy Under Hurricane Helene Mudslide Rubble
If there is one good thing to come out of natural disasters, it's the inspirational stories of those who help pull off miracles. From your everyday heroes who happened to be in the right place at the right time to what happened for this family in North Carolina, the dog finding a lost family member!
This 11-year-old boy, Jamie Parker, got buried in rubble when a mudslide hit his grandparents' home during Hurricane Helene. In the aftermath, young Jamie was stuck under the stairs in a pile about 12 feet deep. He began screaming for help, but his grandma was stuck on what used to be the roof and couldn't hear him, but their dog, Tucker did and was able to signal for help.
Jamie was able to be rescued by firefighters who showed up, was treated at the hospital, and now he and his best friend Tucker are as inseparable as ever.
