Frank the Emu Captured After Two Days Running Loose in Arizona
An escaped emu named Frank turned Cottonwood, Arizona, into a live-action Looney Tunes episode last week.
The flightless fugitive sprinted through town with calls coming in from all over, even from someone who thought the bird was a baby giraffe. As authorities chased Frank down, they quickly learned that an Emu can run upwards of 30 mph, as the bird dodged fences, traffic and the law.
After a chaotic chase, authorities finally wrangled Frank, who’s now back home, presumably grounded for life, but he goes down in infamy as this Arizona community’s fastest fugitive.
