‘Hawk Tuah Girl’ Causes Controversy After Throwing First Pitch at Mets Game

Haliey Welch, better known as the "Hawk Tuah Girl" is still riding out her proverbial "15 minutes of fame" and recently was able to throw out the first pitch at Citi Field as the Mets took on the A's.

While throwing out the first pitch at any baseball game is a purely silly, fun, tradition that ultimately has no bearing on how the team performs, but for whatever reason people get a little too into it.

Some folks were not thrilled about Welch throwing the pitch, considering the context of the phrase that made her famous. However, nobody is more upset about it than WFAN's Sal Licata who had a full-on MELTDOWN over it.

Sounds like he really just needs someone to come over and "spit on that thang."
