How Colleges Are Utilizing A.I. to Streamline Graduation Ceremonies

What if graduating college felt more like checking out at the grocery store?

In all the ways that colleges and universities have been cracking down on students using artificial intelligence, they are now utilizing it to streamline graduation ceremonies.

At Pace University’s commencement ceremony, each graduate had their name spelled phonetically on their phones, then instead of having a real human read them, someone was there to scan a barcode for an A.I. voice read the name over the loudspeaker.

Some have criticized the move as taking away the more personal elements of graduation, while on the other hand, these ceremonies take FOREVER so is it really so wrong to make it go a little faster?
