Indonesian Crocodiles Pretend to be Drowning Humans to Lure Prey

Some animals naturally use deception to lure prey but we don't often see them develop new ways to do it in real time.

That's what's happening with the crocodiles in Indonesia as they have realized if they go underwater and flail their little arms, humans will think it's another person drowning and attempt to rescue them.

We're not sure why they were able to discover this or how they were able to figure it out, but it's horrifying nevertheless.
