Irish Nirvana Fan Realizes the Role He Played in Dave Grohl Starting Foo Fighters

Imagine finding out that one of your favorite bands exists, in part, because of you. It would be absolutely incredible, especially if you had no idea until they share the story with the world, (partially) crediting you.

That's what happened for this fella over in Ireland, who was hitchhiking one day in Ring of Kerry and met Dave Grohl.

Following the death of Kurt Cobain, Grohl headed to Ring of Kerry to do some soul-searching. He picked up Lorcan, who was wearing a Nirvana shirt with Cobain's face on it.

Grohl took that moment as a sign to continue with music and the rest is history.
