Joe Alt is Realizing Just How Different Life in LA is From Minnesota
There are plenty of obvious differences between Los Angeles and small Midwest towns, but for lineman Joe Alt, it's been quite the adjustment.
Alt grew up in North Oaks, Minnesota, a town with a population less than 5,500 people. He became a star player for Notre Dame and ended up being a first-round draft pick for the Los Angeles Chargers. Now, he's getting used to life in LA from the increased cost of living, increased time it takes to get anywhere and more.
That's not to say that he's not enjoying it, though! "You’re paying for what you get to see," Alt said. "You’ve got the beach on one side and mountains on the other. You can’t really ask for a better geographical area."
