These parents in Lexington, Kentucky must have felt like a couple of suckers when their second grader’s Amazon order showed up, turning him into a candy kingpin.
We’ve talked before about kids ordering stupid things either on purpose or on accident and this kid, just wanting to order some suckers as prizes for the carnival he wanted to throw, ended up getting 70,000 Dum Dums delivered from big daddy Bezos.
Of course, the family was not entirely happy when 30 cases—each containing 2,300 suckers and priced at $130—arrived at their doorstep. They turned the nearly-$4,000 surprise into something sweet for their community by donating them to local hospitals and schools and they even got a full refund!
