Inspirational or Insane? Lindsey Vonn Still Competing at Winter Olympics, Despite Injured ACL
Lindsey Vonn has either just shifted into full ski-legend mode or is about to be the poster-woman for the dangers of blind optimism, but either way, she is letting nothing stop her from skiing at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
During the World Cup downhill race in Switzerland last week, Vonn wiped out and “ruptured” her ACL along with some bonus bone and meniscus damage (CLICK HERE). Upon seeing the results, she basically shrugged, strapped on a brace, and said she still plans to race downhill in Milano-Cortina because Olympic athletes truly are just built different.
At 41, fresh out of retirement and already rocking a partial knee replacement, Vonn has absolutely nothing left to prove. You know, except that Olympic dreams apparently outrank cartilage, gravity, and common sense.
