Lorenzo, the 110-Year-Old Giant Lobster, Returns to the Ocean from Long Island Clam Bar
A place on Long Island clam establishment celebrated National Lobster Day, which also happened to be Father’s Day, by releasing a 21-pound lobster back into the Atlantic Ocean after spending a solid chunk of its life at the restaurant.
Meet Lorenzo, the 110‑year‑old legend who’s recently leveled up from his restaurant tank at Peter’s Clam Bar in New York’s Island Park where he spent the better part of the last decade, to the Atlantic ocean!
Local officials held a ceremonial pardon for the special sea-bug, complete with flashing lights and sirens, before escorting him to the Atlantic Beach Reef.
We’re sure he was a bit shell-shocked but hopefully is living his best lobstah life!
