Mississippi Family Reunited With Tortoise Lost During Tornado

With how slow, large and old tortoises can be, it’s baffling how anyone could lose one, but it happens!

This pet tortoise, Myrtle, went missing in a tornado that went through Central Mississippi about mid-March is now back home safe and sound.

The family initially had to leave to seek shelter from the storm and returned to find Myrtle’s backyard home smashed by fallen trees. Luckily, a neighbor finally found him over two weeks later, injured but okay!
