New Haven, Connecticut Breaks World Record for Largest Pizza Party

There are plenty of cities and towns across the United States that could really pack a punch when it comes to putting down enough pizza to hold the record for the World’s Largest Pizza Party, but for now, this Connecticut community is “the big cheese.”

Previously, the record was set by 3,357 people that each ate at least two slices in Tulsa, Oklahoma. On September 12th, though, 4,525 people gathered in New Haven, Connecticut to scarf down 625 huge, 18-inch pies.

With a bit of crowd control and some pep(eroni) in their step, the pizza-loving people of New Haven achieved the Guinness World Record and proved that bribing humans with pizza is still an effective way to succeed.
