Oklahoma Town Taking On Warner Bros. Over Giant Leg Lamp

For whatever reason, even though the movie was set in Indiana and filmed in Ohio and Canada, a town in Oklahoma is displaying a giant replica of the leg lamp from the movie "A Christmas Story" and is ready to take on an entertainment juggernaut to keep it.

The 40-foot tall leg lamp propped up on a shipping crate labelled "FRAGILE" has caused quite a stir between the Chickasha Community Foundation and Warner Bros. over copyright infringement.

Despite the Community Foundation owning the statue and not charging people to view it, Warner Bros. is asking it is taken down and destroyed as they denied helping fund the project back in 2019.

While we can understand both sides, this likely won't play out well for the folks in Chickasha.
