Prosecutors Pulls a ‘Don’t You Know Who I Am?’ With Officers at Rhode Island Restaurant
A Rhode Island prosecutor decided to turn dinner into a courtroom drama when she was asked to leave a restaurant and cops arrived to escort her and her friend out.
Instead of just walking away, she went full “Don’t you know who I am?” mode, dropping her “Special Assistant Attorney General” title like it was a get-out-of-jail-free card and warning officers they’d “regret this.”
Spoiler: he did not.
She and her friend, who was very quick to point out her girl’s a lawyer, were escorted out thus proving, once again, that body cams don’t come with a pause button…no matter how many times you “demand” one.
All they had to do was leave quietly, but they decided to make it difficult and probably got served a demotion instead of dessert that night.
