Former Miss New Zealand Gracefully Handles Taking a Bird to the Face

Jessica Tyson, former Miss World New Zealand, has now been doing her thing as a news reporter.

As she was doing her thing on he streets of Auckland for a live shot, a bird either lost control on an extremely windy day or simply decided her face looked like good target practice. Either way, she’s out there in front of H&M, looking beautiful, when WHAM the bird hits her right in the kisser.

She’s, of course, stunned, reacts with a few profanities before learning from the crew that she was bleeding.

However, in true champ fashion, she posted the footage and added a photo at the end of her swollen, bleeding eye socket.

They always say “beauty is pain” but, surely, nobody saw this coming.
