Squirrel Bullies and Attacks Several California Neighborhood Residents
In San Rafael, California, things got pretty squirrely when a bold brown squirrel went rogue, allegedly attacking at least five residents and sending two to the ER.
After a couple attacks, neighbors plastered flyers declaring “THIS IS NOT A JOKE” and warning people to watch their limbs.
Wildlife officials reassure people that squirrels don’t typically carry rabies and say it’s actually more likely to be the result of someone feeding the squirrel, which made it lose its fear of humans.
While some towns have watch dogs, San Rafael has attack squirrels.
