Sure, holiday proposals are nothing new and ones in front of the Rockefeller Center tree happen pretty often, but this one is pretty darn special.

Among all the other preparations someone has to make before they pop the question, Houston native Barrington Dave took on one for nearly a whole year ahead of time...teaching his lovely lady how to ice skate.

He wanted to make sure she could have fun and, ultimately, not fall during the big moment and it's safe to say he pulled it off.
