In an attempt to make their fare inspectors look more “official” the city of Toronto has given them new uniforms and new titles!

That’s all well and good until you realize that by calling them “Provincial Offences Officers”, they are now called “POO Inspectors”.

While the title is technically legit, it hasn’t stopped riders from squeezing out jokes about flushing the TTC’s newest turd-catchers.

So next time you try to sneak a ride in Toronto, just remember: the POOs are watching and they mean business.
