Internet Slams Wedding Venue for Refusal to Fully Refund Bride After Sudden Death of Groom

There are plenty of people who have had their wedding days “ruined” by bad family members, weather mishaps, mistakes with the venue, etc. but when the absolute worst thing happened to this bride, her venue didn’t have much sympathy.

A wedding venue in Durham, North Carolina has found themselves in a PR nightmare as they have refused to fully refund a bride after the sudden death of the groom. While the DJ, photographer, planner and other vendors did just that, the venue only offered a partial refund on the condition that someone else rebooks the date.

While its understandable they had to plan for staffing that day, these certainly seem like an extenuating circumstances. The internet was less-than forgiving and has since started dropping one-star reviews by the hundreds as many call it cold and tone-deaf

The business now says it’s dealing with safety concerns after receiving death threats, which is absolutely not okay.
