While here on the show, we'd rather see the Detroit Tigers in one of these spots, it just didn't happen for us this year.

On Saturday night in Cleveland, the New York Yankees beat the Guardians in Game 5 of the American League Championship Series after an awesome hit by Juan Soto.

Then, on Sunday, New York took on Los Angeles, with the Dodgers coming out on top in Game 6 of the NLCS to win the National League pennant.

Game one takes place Friday night in New York. It's the Yankees' first time back since 2009, and is overall a pretty historic pairing as the two teams have met 11 times in the fall, spanning 41 years between 1941 and 1981.
